The reason we went to Cochabamba was for the Torotoro National park. Torotoro is abundant with caves, waterfalls, macaw, parakeets, and more dinosaur footprints - sounds amazing, right? We changed our minds at the last minute and played with dogs instead.
We stayed 20min outside the city center at a quaint hostel with a nice yard to relax in. Well, inbetween the times Caty wasn't jumping into our hammocks to nip at our arms. The picture is blurry because puppies are wiggly.
Luckily Locoto, the older wiser dog was there to take away some of her energy.
The first day was super relaxing. We didn't even have to walk far for food as each time we tried to go for a walk, the owner would be coincidentally driving about and offer us a ride.
The second day we decided to see the city. First stop was the ginormous outdoor market. We tried getting lost in the labyrinth of stalls but we kept coming out from where we started. They offer everything from fruits to mummified animals. Maybe it's a good thing we didn't wander too far in.
The third day we were supposed to leave for Santa Cruz in the morning. But because of pants and unreliable bus schedules, we got another day in Cochabamba! We saw Christo de la Concordia, a giant statue of Christ(bigger than the one in Rio).
Off to Santa Cruz on the overnight bus!
