Suco - natural fruit juices! So so good. They have so many tropical fruits here that can't be translated because they're so unique. Below is acerola and pink guava!
Coconut - it's a coconut. I think we all know what a coconut is.
Caipirinha - Brazil's national cocktail. Made with Cachaça, lots of lime, and lots of sugar.
Pão de queijo - cheese bread made from cassava or tapioca flour. These little puffs are really addicting, crispy on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside.
Moqueca - seafood stew. The soup part is very viscous which I was unprepared for.
Tambaqui - a type of fish from Manaus that is grilled. They serve it whole and it's so good. I'm drooling thinking about it.
Plato ejectivo - we had so many of these. They're essentially some type of grilled meat, rice, fries, and manioc flour that you spread over everything.
Rodízio - Brazilian steakhouse! Waiters come by with knives and skewers of meat and they keep coming by until you give up on eating.
Japanese food - São Paulo has the largest Japanese population outside of Japan. So obviously we gorged ourselves on sushi. There was another plate but who has time to take pictures when there's sushi to be eaten.
